I've gone to Google sync settings mobile devices, but my iPad air does not show up there nor do the calendars on the calendar app. My iPhone syncs with my Google calendars, and so did my previous iPad. Deleting the account and re-adding them doesn't fix the problem. The only calendar that shows up is the iCloud calendar.
Jul 06, 2017 If some of your calendars aren’t showing up in the Delegations tab, head to in your browser and enable all the calendars you want to use. You should now see your Google Calendar in your Mac’s Calendar app. Test it by adding some appointments and seeing if they sync.
This is really frustrating as I have both Google calendar setup with the Gmail option in iOS as well as with Exchange, but none of these work.
I would appreciate any help.

Calendar User Guide
Create separate calendars for different areas of your life—work, home, school, and so on. Each calendar has its own color. When viewing multiple calendars, you can see which calendar each event belongs to based on its color. To change an event’s color, move the event to a different calendar or change the calendar’s color.
Add a calendar
If you can’t add a calendar for a particular calendar account, try adding a calendar on the account provider’s website. For example, to create a Google calendar, go to google.com.
Delete a calendar
Add a calendar group
You can create calendar groups in the On My Mac section of the calendar list.
